  • Acorn Park School (NR16 2HU) - Partial school closure, Mozart building (affecting EYFS- Reception, Y1, Y2 and formal Y3, Y4, Y5, Y6). Affected families have been contacted by phone.
  • All Saints CE VA Primary, Winfarthing (IP22 2DZ) - School will close at noon today due to the weather conditions.
  • Attleborough Primary School (NR17 2NA) - Closed to all children from 11.45am due to extreme temperatures and no air conditioning in classrooms (supervision will be provided all day for key worker children where necessary).
  • Aurora White House School (NR16 2NZ) - Fully closed on Friday 26th June due to extreme heat, letter sent to families today (25th June) with further details and arrangements.

  • Buxton Primary School (NR10 5EZ) - Due to the forecast of extreme temperatures today, 26th June, the school has taken the decision to close at 11:00am in order to safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of pupils and staff. The school building does not have air conditioning, and internal classroom temperatures are expected to be above external temperatures, creating an unsafe environment.
  • Churchill Park Academy (PE30 4RP) - Churchill Park Academy is closed due to extreme temperatures following a risk assessment. Due to the complex medical, physical and learning needs of our pupils, the high classroom temperatures present a significant health and safety risk. Home learning has been provided, and parents have been notified.
  • Compass Community School Eld Park (IP24 1EB) - High temperatures and internal school temperatures. Staff can be contacted in normal ways.
  • Eaton Hall Specialist Academy (NR4 7BU) - Full closure due to extreme heat
  • Fred Nicholson School (NR19 1JB) - Due to expected extreme heat in classrooms, we are closing school to support pupil well-being.
  • Ghost Hill Infant & Nursery School (NR8 6PJ) - Ghost Hill is closed today from 12.45pm, due to the extreme heat inside the school building. We are safeguarding the health and wellbeing of children and staff. Home learning has been shared with parents.
  • Great Hockham Primary School and Nursery (IP24 1PB) - Closed from 11.30 except for keyworkers where necessary due to extreme temperatures
  • Hall School (NR6 7AD) - Closed to all pupils due to the extreme heat making conditions unsafe.
  • Hapton CE VA Primary School (NR15 1AD) - School will close at noon due to the weather.
  • Harford Manor School (NR2 2LN) - Harford Manor School is closed to pupils on Friday 26th June. This is due to Health and Safety concerns regarding the vital access to outdoor space and equipment for our students regulation needs and depleted staffing availability due to other school closures. Staff will be working on site as normal.
  • Hillcrest Primary School (PE38 9ND) - Hillcrest Primary School will again close at 1.30pm on Friday due to excessive afternoon heat
  • Include Schools Norfolk (NR6 6TE) - Catch22 Include Norfolk school sites will remain closed on Friday 26th June due to adverse weather and travel arrangements for pupils and staff. However, learning will continue remotely on live lessons with normal timetables.
  • John Grant School (NR30 5QW) - The School will be fully closed to all pupils and staff on Friday 26th June due to unsafe temperatures associated with the severe weather warning in place.
  • Langley Preparatory School (NR8 6HU) - Langley Prep School, Taverham, is closing for the afternoon of Friday 26th June, from 1pm, due to the extreme heat forecast by the Met Office. The Prep School will reopen on Monday 29th June. Bluebell Nursery, Taverham, will remain open on Friday afternoon as it benefits from air conditioning.
  • Old Buckenham High School (NR17 1RL) - Closed due to extreme heat making classroom conditions unsafe for pupils.
  • Old Buckenham Primary School And Nursery (NR17 1RH) - Closed from 11.45am except for key workers where necessary. Parents can contact the school via office email. Work has been provided for all pupils which is accessible through Teams and on website class page.
  • Poringland Primary School & Nursery (NR14 7RF) - School closed today due to extreme heat impacting internal temperatures. Work is online or has been sent home.
  • Red Balloon Learner Centre (NR3 2PW) - Red Balloon Norwich will close on Friday 26th June at 13:30 due to health and safety concerns regarding the forecasted extreme hot weather
  • Seething and Mundham Primary School (NR15 1DJ) - Our school will be closed today from 11.30am, due to the extreme heat inside the school building. We are safeguarding the health and wellbeing of children and staff. Home learning will be shared with parents.
  • St. Andrew's Lopham CE VA Primary School (IP22 2LR) - School will close at noon today due to weather conditions.
  • Swaffham Church Of England Primary Academy (PE37 7EA) - A burst water pipe in school means that the water has been shut off. Contractors have shared that it will take 2- 3 hours to fix this. With no access to water, it is unsafe for children and staff to be on site. The school will be fully closed to staff and pupils. Remote learning will be posted. Parents can contact the school via DOJO or email including DSLs.
  • The Bawburgh School (NR9 3LR) - School closed from 11.45am due to the extreme heat which is impacting the temperatures in the classrooms. Lunches and work provided.
  • The Stables School (NR12 9EU) - Closed to all pupils due to extreme heat.
  • Thompson Primary School (IP24 1PY) - The school will be closed this afternoon due to the heat in the classrooms and around the school.
  • West Earlham Junior School (NR5 8HT) - Due to the forecast of extreme temperatures on 26 June, the school has taken the decision to close at 11:00am in order to safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of pupils, staff and other vulnerable individuals within the school community. The school building does not have air conditioning, and internal classroom temperatures are expected to rise significantly, creating an environment that is unsuitable and potentially unsafe for teaching and learning.
  • White House Farm Primary School (NR7 8DN) - The school is fully closed all day due to high temperatures within classrooms. Online learning available via Tapestry/Seesaw.
